Antique Wax Flower Headpiece

Chelsea’s family heirloom wax flower headpiece was the most fragile piece I have ever worked with. All of the wax flowers were broken. I told her I didn’t think they could be saved but that we could use the remaining wax buds to create something beautiful. Adding genuine gemstones of Citrine and Prehnite created a pastel hue and opulence. I surprised her with an intricate repair of all the broken petals on the wax flowers and repurposed her grandmother's headpiece into a gorgeous floral halo.

1949 Wax Flower Crown

Carolyn had an abundance of wax flowers to use to restyle her grandmother’s 1949 headpiece. She wanted her bridal accessories to have a delicate and ethereal look. We decided to create a delicate brooch to be worn in the back of her upstyle, with additional hairpins to provide a romantic feel. Clear crystals and white opals created a beautiful brilliance amidst the 14 KG and Silver accents.

1941 Vintage Wax Flower Wreath

This bride came to me thinking the old floral wreath found in a box at her grandmother’s house was made of plastic! Family members almost tossed it. Ashley wanted to see if it could be made into her bridal accessory for her wedding. I work on many vintage wax flower headpieces, and this one was unique! The wax flowers had no coating, which enabled me to frost the flowers to a gorgeous pale ivory hue.

1947 Wax Orange Blossom Crown

This wax flower crown was so unique and in beautiful condition that it could be worn in its original form with slight restoration. After our virtual consultation, Cailin wanted a statement headpiece styled with a classic chignon for her wedding day. Adding freshwater pearls and crystals created a delicate and light wispiness to this beautiful piece.
