Headpiece.com’s 26 Years of Custom Accessories and Wedding Veils
It took 26 years of designing bridal accessories to find the perfect place in my career as the owner of Headpiece.com.
Where I was in May 1999, as a young designer and new business owner, is far from where I am today. The level of skill and creativity that I offer my brides was never taught to me in my design classes at The Fashion Institute of Technology. It is a craft that I have perfected, and it took time.
“Developing a successful business that attracts brides from all over the country didn’t happen with the snap of a finger. The key is to build trust and offer a product and a skill that can’t be found anywhere else.”

Bridal Designs Made in the U.S.A.
Every bride desires to look beautiful and unique on their wedding day. Having your bridal headpiece or wedding veil handmade for you alone is the best way to achieve this. Headpiece.com opened in May of 1999 with this sole focus in mind.
“The NYC bridal district used to be the hub for handmade accessories in the 80s and 90s. In the years following, small midtown accessory stores began closing at a rapid pace. The trend of forgoing a headpiece or veil started to gain popularity, and brides opted for a beautiful hairstyle instead.”
Fast forward to Headpiece.com in 2025. Brides have been through it all: a pandemic, offshore shipments stalled at ports, and now tariffs threatening the receipt of wedding veils, bridal gowns, and headpieces is the tipping point. While top-name bridal brands continue to manufacture outside of the United States, brides have had enough and are looking for alternatives. Finding an actual person you can talk to and trust to create your bridal style in the U.S.A. is becoming a sought-after solution.

Repurposing Mom’s Headpiece
In 2022, our website was flooded with inquiries from brides-to-be across the country seeking vintage restoration and restyling services. At the same time, our second Instagram Reel garnered just under 700K plays and 22K likes. This mesh, stemming from organic Google discovery and a viral video, transformed my business from designing trendy, modern, handmade headpieces to a demand for vintage restoration and restyling of family heirlooms.

VINTAGE HEADPIECE RESTYLE and CUSTOM WEDDING VEIL / Headpiece.com GOWN / Sareh Nouri VENUE / Pleasantdale Chateau
Victoria initially came to Headpiece.com to design a couture statement wedding veil to complement her striking Sareh Nouri, “Hydrangea” ball gown, custom-designed for her in ivory silk. During her consultation, she learned about our vintage headpiece restyles, which are created by deconstructing the piece the mother wore on her wedding day. This idea resonated, and it was something Victoria couldn’t do without.
We repurposed her mom’s 1990 vintage wedding crown into a new gorgeous headpiece.
“Having my dress, veil, and headpiece made right here in NJ gave me peace of mind that everything would not only be ready on time, but also crafted beautifully. Trusting that my one-of-a-kind accessories were made with love and care was important to me. I want them to be future heirlooms.”
We custom designed Victoria’s 140” long wedding veil from luxury embroidery from England.
Sareh Nouri’s silk ball gown danced gracefully as though it were on the set of a classic Hollywood film, accented by her gorgeous headpiece restyled from her mom’s.
Custom Bridal Headpieces and Veils
Designing any type of bridal accessory is what I do best. I have never been a designer who follows trends. I love it when off-trend brides come to me looking for a unique headpiece.

“Kaylan came to me with several inspirational ideas for her headpiece and veil. In a sense, she was a non-traditional bride with a notable flair for fashion. I extracted the elements she loved in each photo presented to me to create a precise version of her dream lace headpiece and wedding veil.”
“I am so in love with my headpiece! Marie absolutely nailed it!!! I couldn’t have brought my vision to life without her. What she created was truly amazing, and I can’t believe I got to wear something so beautiful.”
I designed her wedding veil from a silky, supple, and luxurious net from Europe. There was nothing traditional about it. It gave a romantic effect of a softly tied looped ribbon.
“Kaylan’s headpiece and veil are something you don’t see on other brides. It was very unique and beautifully made.”
Old Wedding Crown Restoration
While I love working on any vintage piece, the older the piece, the more exhilarating it is for me. I love the stories and the photos that come with them. I always make sure to tell my brides how blessed they are to have such a piece of family wedding history. When I restore older crowns, Juliet caps, and wax flower headpieces, I become immersed in the story and life behind the piece.

VINTAGE CROWN RESTORATION & WEDDING VEIL / Headpiece.com VENUE / Bedford Village Inn
This classic crown was worn by two generations, beginning with Ashley’s grandmother in 1960. Ashley was next in line to wear it on her wedding day, but it had aged, and the fixed circumference of the crown dated it a bit. Ashley was very close to her grandmother and mom, and she hoped to use it if it could be restored and slightly modified.
“To give Ashley the style she wanted, the entire crown had to be deconstructed, the beads hand-cleaned, and the final design tweaked.”
“The crown was PERFECT! It was absolutely my favorite part. I didn’t wear any other elaborate jewelry because I didn’t want it to compete with the crown.”
“As I reflect on the past 26 years, I realize that expertise takes time. The wedding gown and bridal hat I hand-designed for my 1982 wedding were far from perfect. But creating them was the opening for the career of a lifetime, working with brides who have welcomed me into their lives as I continue to perfect my craft.”
