Fourteenth: The Evolution of The Bride Trainer

When planning a wedding, brides often seek the best! They search for the perfect dress, the most incredible wedding space, and the undiscovered Pinterest-like details to set their wedding day apart from every other. Once their bridal storyboard is complete, it is time to focus. Meet The Bride Trainer...

AUbrey Hunt

Aubrey Hunt "trains" brides. Brides come to Aubrey wishing to look their best in their wedding gown. Clients seek her out for a specific plan to drop pounds, to tone their arms, to be able to get the lowest on the dance floor, to define their back muscles for the dramatic plunge back bodice, and to build their glutes for a naturally curved backside.

Bride Trainer Beginnings

Aubrey Hunt is my daughter. Aubrey was exposed to the bridal industry at a young age and began modeling for Headpiece.com as a teen. Her first notable event was at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City for the Couture Bridal Market where all of the top designers presented their new collections.

Aubrey loved helping out at Headpiece.com when she wasn't on the field hockey pitch. She is truly an athlete at heart. Her passion, drive, and determination to compete at a higher level began when she joined The Edge Field Hockey Club. Coach Kenwin Nancoo mentored her and instilled belief to the core. Nothing was out of reach if you worked hard and believed.

Kenwin told me every single day, “You are a wonderful human being and you have so much to offer this world.” Hearing this every single day helped me to eventually believe it! And once I believed it, I knew I was capable of anything.

Aubrey trained intensely with The Edge and was recruited to play field hockey at the University of Richmond.

In her junior year, she changed direction and tried out for the Richmond Spiders cheerleading team. Aubrey had never cheered before but worked tirelessly at the gym for five to six hours a day to develop the skills she needed to make the team. Four weeks before tryouts while perfecting a herkie jump, Aubrey fell and hyperextended her knee resulting in a fractured tibia. Her determination was stronger than her injury, and she made the team.

It takes courage to develop your own business in your early twenties. Singing the National Anthem in front of thousands on many occasions while at the University of Richmond, and becoming a Mets National Anthem Finalist is evidence of courage.

While at the University of Richmond, Aubrey realized her passion and designed her own major, The Psychology of Motivation.

headpiece.com and The Bride Trainer

When creating a new design for our collection, I always picture it worn by Aubrey. She is my preferred model, not because she is my daughter but because she is a beautiful extension of my beloved work. Photo shoots with Aubrey will be something I will cherish until my designer years are over. We bonded as a mother and daughter team while laughing, freezing, climbing mountains, and taking risks.

To train in fashion, you have to know fashion.

Equinox

Aubrey began her career as a personal trainer at Equinox in Chelsea, New York City.

After eight months of commuting to Equinox in the city, I realized getting three hours of sleep per night wasn’t sustainable long-term. I wanted more freedom, more income, more of “my” vision. I took a big leap of faith, lived at home to save up, and I began the entrepreneur life starting my own business at the age of twenty-two.

The Bride Trainer

In January of 2016, The Bride Trainer made her mark. By May of 2016, her training schedule was filled and often I had to hope for a cancellation to get training time with her!

One of Aubrey's first clients shared her story for our blog. Lindsey had to postpone her wedding for one year due to a delay in immigration for her Canadian fiancé. It was a very emotional and challenging time for her. She heard about The Bride Trainer and reached out to her to focus on getting in shape.

There was that one day I tried my dress on to see how hard my work had paid off. I was so upset that my dress didn’t fit! We tried so hard to zip up the back, but it would not fit!

I decided to increase my training time with Aubrey and continued to do multiple days of cardio on my own. We were successful! One night, I decided to weigh myself at home and try on my dress. I was ecstatic! I was able to get into my dress and zip it up all by myself! I took a picture and sent it to Aubrey!

Lindsey married James on July 5th, 2016.

"We kept up my training until a week before the wedding when all of the planning started to get ahead of me. My wedding day was beautiful! I looked amazing! I even made James cry when I walked down the aisle!"

As a designer, there has been an occasion or two when a bride honors me with an invitation to her wedding. My hearts pounds when I see my beautiful bridal client walk down the aisle in my designs. The results are a bit different when The Bride Trainer is invited to attend the wedding of her client. I can imagine the pride that both the bride and trainer feel when snapping a shot of the perfect wedding gown fit. But the proof is in the pudding...

Have you ever seen a bride and her trainer get down on the dance floor and give ten?

Taking The Bride Trainer To The Next Level

Many might think The Bride Trainer only trains brides. Her business name stems from her journey and by no means limits her training in any way, shape, or form.

Aubrey has trained both male and female. She has trained teachers, new moms, photographers, lawyers, collegiate athletes, doctors, police academy candidates, military...and even fashion designers!

Online Training with the Bride Trainer

The Bride Trainer's reach is nationwide! Some of her greatest results have occurred through her Online Training Programs.

Two of her current online clients were willing to share their journey as they near their wedding day.

Training online can be a little difficult, especially when we are at the gym and not sure if we are doing a certain exercise correctly. However, The Bride Trainer does provide videos for all of her exercises and is always available via text or email. The best part about working with an online trainer is flexibility.
"My goal from the start was to focus on losing inches and not necessarily weight. Nevertheless, I have lost 10 pounds to date and four inches."

"I would ideally like to tone up my arms and stomach some more before August 19th, and I have full confidence that my goal will be achieved"

Having a virtual trainer allows me to easily pick up my phone and ask any meal or fitness questions. The Bride Trainer is very responsive at all times of the day.
"Commuting from NYC every night and coming home at 8 p.m. is exhausting!"
